About S B Garda College Trust
In the year 1856 Sir Cawasji Jehangirji Navsari Zarthosti Madressa was established and under it’s tutelage as the parent body Sorabji Burjorji Garda College Trust was formed in 1945. The Trust in the same year established the Sorabji Barjorji Arts College and Burjorji Pestonji Baria Science Institute in 1946. Later on,the management also started the commerce faculty which is known as P.K. Patel College of Commerce. It was in the year 1972 the DINSHAW DABOO LAW COLLEGE was established, with the munificence of daboo family to mitigate the hardships faced by studennts of Navsari aspiring to study law.
In 1972 the scenario of Navsari was quite different from what it is today. The present Law College was established at a time when young aspiring Law students had to either go to Surat, Ahmedabad or Mumbai and there was no other instiution in and around Navsari region offering legal education. Looking into this aspect Rajratna Shri DINSHAW DABOO donated Rs. 2,58,050 to S.B. Garda College Trust for establishment of our law college.

Late Shri Rajpriya Dinshaw Ratanji Daboo
On Monday the 11th October 1971, the Foundation Stone of Rajpriya Dinshaw Ratanji Daboo Law College was laid by Bai Jerbai Dinshaw Daboo for the establishment of this College. Rajpriya Dinshaw Ratanji Daboo and Bai Jerbai Dinshaw Daboo donated Rs. 2,58,050 on occasion of Silver Jubilee Celebration of Garda College Institute.
Dinshaw Daboo Law College is situated in Navsari, Gujarat. Established in 1972, it is one of the eminent law colleges in India. The law college is affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. Dinshaw Daboo Law College is duly approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), Government of India, New Delhi, for imparting academic program. The college of law consists of an undergraduate law course – Bachelor of Laws (LLB) – for the duration of three years. It offers the course under the guidelines of Bar Council of India (BCI). For the well organized study environment, Dinshaw Daboo Law College has latest facilities for its students.
